PROSEDUR INVESTIGASI DAN PENANGANAN KERUSAKAN STRUKTUR BANGUNAN GEDUNG PASCA GEMPA

Recent earthquake have caused done damages of various infrastructures, such as building structures. Damage to the buildings must be evaluation to decide whether the buildings is safe or not to use and to decide whether buildings can still be repaired or not. The problem in Indonesia has not been any investigation procedure manual and method of retrofitting for damage caused by earthquake. Therefore, it is required to establsih guidance manual of investigation procedure and retrofitting of post-earthquake damage in order to obtain easier inspection after earthquake. This study was based on the post-earthquake damage of buildings taken from secondary data and literature study. Then, it was continued by composing investigation procedures which included preliminary and advanced investigation. After that, the damage of the buildings components such as column, beam, and wall was described as well as the possible repair methods upon each type of the damage. Based on the discussion, the results showed that after earthquake, preliminary investigation was carried out through brief visual inspection by using simple equipments. This will result in the safety levels: safe (green), less safe (yellow) and unsafe (red). When significant damage was found, advanced investigation was taken by giving more detailed inspection to the damage by using non destructive instruments. Result of the inspection would show the damage safety levels of minor, moderate and severe damage. Retrofitting was then carried out based on the damage level. The retrofitting level of the damage included the repair method to either restoration the damage or to increase the strength of the building structures. The damage in severe level can be repaired either by changing some or all of the damaged components. The investigation procedure, safety signing, damage classification and repair method were compiled to be used as the manual of investigation procedure guidance and the retrofitting of building damage after earthquake
