ANALISIS KUANTITATIF PENGARUH VARIASI PERLAKUAN OPERASIONAL PADA DIGESTER DOUBLE DOME DAN DIGESTER TUNNEL SKALA LAPANGAN

Based on field observations shows that the construction of biogas without balanced with the knowledge, skills and commitment of the user causing the application of biogas is not optimal even eventually abandoned. To ensure the sustainability of the utilization of digester, the designs of digester need to be adapted to the character of the user. Quantitative analysis of the influence of treatment variations in digester operating on double dome and tunnel of field-scale aimed at quantifying the influence user habits digester to digester performance with the field data analysis and simulation of mathematical model and formulate events scenario phenomenon operational digester to optimize the performance of the digester. The research was conducted in two sets of experiments that evaluate the performance of the digester (double dome and tunnel) and the observation of the effect on digester charging order (double dome and tunnel). Observed parameters include pH, Volatile Solid (VS), Volatile Fatty Acids (VFA) and biogas production rate. The field data is used to verify mathematical models that have been formulated in previous studies (Wresta, 2012), then the mathematical model that was formulated performed simulations unideal treatment effect (charging order and the amount of substrate) of digester performance. The simulation results are used as the basis for the formulation of events scenario phenomenon operational digester double dome digester and tunnel to optimize biogas production. From the study it can be concluded that the shape and size of the digester will affect the sensitivity to variations of user behavior such as digester tunnel types are more sensitive to changes (the substrate concentration and the length of time between feeding) than the double dome digester, digester capacity of at least double dome that can meet the needs of daily cooking (4 people in one family) for 4 hours / day is 10 m3. Capacity 1.5 to 5 m3 tunnel digester produces methane is less than 2.5 m3/day so that can�t meet daily cooking needs.
