Availability and exploitation of natural materials encourage the use of other materials such as waste material that has not been utilized as building materials. Polystyrene is non degradable waste by natural process that can be utilized as a concrete wall panel. Concrete panels on the market have an average density of more than 2000 kg/m³ which is relatively heavy. Their compressive strength varies from 3-50 MPa. Use of polystyrene wall panel is an effort to reduce dead load of structures to minimize the time of construction. This study developed a lightweight concrete mixture from shredded polystyrene waste.
