MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN, SIKAP, DAN PERILAKU PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIKA DENGAN METODE CARA BELAJAR IBU AKTIF (CBIA) DI KABUPATEN JEMBER

Background: The inappropriate use of antibiotics in Indonesia againts a background of high resistance rates. A study showing more patients in Indonesia (7%) buy antibiotic without prescribing in the drugstore. Inappropiate use antibiotics causing fail to consume antibiotic precisely, resulting resistances impact and less of antibiotic benefits. Infection by resistant bacteria to various antibiotics lead to increased mortality. There was showing irrational patterns of use antibiotic non-prescribe has been redeeming in drugstore at Sub-Province Jember. Needed effective intervention to give information to get appropiate antibiotic use. CBIA method is adoption in this practices to improve public stall attitude especially mother for accurational of antibiotic usage by giving knowledge, changing attitude and behavior. Objectives: These research aimed to showing by adoption CBIA method to improving knowledge, attitudes, and behavior to use antibiotic acurately and do not self medication within antibiotics. Methods: Research study of quasi eksperimental with device research non equivalent control group design with pre test and post test. Subject is mothers into PKK organization residing in Sumbersari and Patrang districts, were there was fulfilling inclution criteria livinging in region of Jember town. Data which obtained from instrument of research knowledge, attitude, and behavior presented and analysed by analytic descriptively. To know increasing of difference knowledge result, responder attitude before and after intervention applied by statistic test non parametrik Wilcoxon. Association between knowledge and attitudes would be analize bivariat by Chi Square. Result : Based on the research result obtained the data after intervention with CBIA was significantly increase at 37 people at intervention group. Knowledge out of 12 become 18 people, positively attitudes out of 70 become 85 people, and behaviour become 100%. The other hand there was no significantly increase in controls group.
