DINAMIKA PROSES PEMBENTUKAN IDENTITAS SANTRI PADA REMAJA PONDOK PESANTREN SALAFIYAH SYAFI�IYAH SITUBONDO

This study uses a phenomenological qualitative method which aims to see the �santri� identity formation process of adolescent in Salafiyah Syafi'iyah boarding school in Situbondo East Java can not be separated from the psychological phenomenon of the santri�s themselves in the identity formation as a santri and the factors that influence it. Participants consisted of 4 adolescents, 2 adolescents 16 years, 1 adolescent 19 years, and 1 adolescent 20 years of age. This study uses in-depth interview to get data from 4 participants and 6 informants. The study uses fenomenological qualitative method that was pass four process, the epoche, phenomenological reduction, imaginative variation, and synthesis of meaning. Data analysis and interpretation process involves bracketing, horizonalizing, meaning units to get an description textural, imaginative variation to obtain the structural description, and composite textural and structural description, so universal mean representing the participants as a whole. Results showed that participants in undergoing the identity formation process as a santri influenced by the personality of the participants in dealing with the application of islamic boarding school regulations, various activities have been necessary, the parenting style of head of a boarding school, and the presence of peers.
