The aim of this study was to investigate the influences of an intermediate layer of flowable composite resin and resin modified glass ionomer cement and hollow ground bevel preparation on the microleakage of class II composite resin restoration. Twenty human extracted premolar teeth were randomly divided into 4 groups, group I, class II composite resin restoration with gingival hollow ground bevel (at coronal CEJ) and intermediate layer (IA flowable composite resin, IB resin modified glass ionomer cement), group II class II composite resin restoration using intermediate layer (IIA flowable composite resin, IIB resin modified glass ionomer cement) without gingival bevel.
