The purpose of this study is to explain the relationship between the history of colonialism in the Moluccas and the uniqueness of its relationship with in the Netherlands post-colonial issues of inferiority and mimicry that are represented in the lyrics of popular songs. This goal is done through a deconstructive analysis of the relationships built up in the text. The theory used is post-colonial literary theory that emphasizes the effects of colonialism on colonized peoples text production, theory of the inferiority and mimicry as a form of identification in a connection with the lyrics of popular songs as a site of hegemony.
