PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM TERHADAP HAK CIPTA KARYA ARSITEKTUR DI KOTA SEMARANG

This research titled LEGAL PROTECTION OF COPYRIGHTS OF ARCHITECTURE INCITY OF SEMARANG. This research was triggered by the growing problem of intellectual property rights, especially copyright of architecture. The main issues to be answered in this research is how the legal protection of the copyright works of architecture and what is the caused of architecture copyright infringement and what efforts taken to overcome the architecture copyright infringement. This research was conducted with a normative juridical approach of the method of approach which focuses on the juridical aspects of analyzing the problem from the point of view / by applicable law or the laws that apply in this case used UU No.19 tahun 2002 tentang Hak Cipta. The results of this research indicate that the rule of law and legislation in Indonesia has given legal protection against copyright holders of architecture masterpiece, this is evidenced by the enactment of UU No.19 tahun 2002 tentang Hak Cipta. Advice can be given by the author is the copyright holders should to register their copyright so that more force and assist in the process of proving in a court case over copyright infringement. In addition the government and the elements associated with copyright problems should make efforts in dissemination to the public in order to increase legal awareness of the importance of registration of copyright in order to obtain legal certainty and legal protection
