Molar migration mesially for closing extraction space will cause extrusion of the molar. Extrusion will influence rotation of the mandible and also vertical dimension. The purpose of this research was to know the relationship between changes of anchorage molar position mesially and one third of the lower facial vertical dimension in patients with class II division 1 malocclusion after treated with fixed orthodontic appliance by Begg technique. The study was an analytical research with a cross sectional approach. This research was evaluated at lateral cephalometric radiographs of 29 subjects before and after treatment, with criteria : class II division 1 malocclusion, class II skeletal, aged 18-30 years, and were treated using Begg technique...
