ESTIMASI BIOMASSA DAN KARBON TEGAKAN DIPTEROCARPA DI PT. SARI BUMI KUSUMA (SBK) KALIMANTAN TENGAH

Tree biomass in tropic forest that dominated by dipterocarp species is storing place of biggest carbon reserve. Besides to store the carbon reserve, tree can also absorb carbon from atmosphere through photosynthesis process. The biomass and carbon measuring in forest carried out to estimate biomass and carbon and absorption of CO2 through allometric approach. This research aims to make allometric equation to determine potency of biomass, carbon, and absorption of CO2 in PT TBK. This research conducted in PT. SBK Central Kalimantan area, laboratory THH of forestry Faculty of UGM and Yogyakarta BPTP laboratory. To find out the Biomass and carbon contents in PT. SBK further carried out the selection of sample tree purposively at LOA ecosystem (line system), combination between primary forest ecosystem, and LOA. The chosen tree based on the age variation criteria and dph on LOA ecosystem (line system) and diameter variation on combination between primary forest and LOA. In this research the whole number of sample taken is 40 trees consist of 23 LOA ecosystem (line system), 17 trees at combination between primary forest ecosystem and LOA. The biomass content found out through measurement method destructively. Then drawn the allometric equation biomass and carbon for through countain of potential biomass and carbon. The result of this research shows that dbh variable can be used to estimate tree total biomass total tree on LOA ecosystem (line system) and combination between primary forest ecosystem and LOA through power models with coefficient determination value respectively 97,5% on LOA ecosystem (line system) and 99,2% on primary forest ecosystem and LOA. The total of tree biomass potency saved at TPTI (plant year 1995-2010) is 311,67 ton/ha, TPTJ (plant year 2002-2010) is 169,58 ton/ha and TPTII (plant year 2006-2009) is 139,73 ton/ha. The total stand carbon potency saved at TPTI (plant year 1995- 2010) is 143,31 ton/ha, TPTJ (plant year 2002-2010) is 93,46 ton/ha, TPTII (plant year 2006-2009) is 77,08 ton/ha. Whereas, the absorption potential of CO2 at TPTI (plant year 1995-2010) is 525,96 ton/ha, TPTJ (plant year 2002-2010) is 343,00 ton/ha and TPTII (plant year 2006-2009) is 282,96 ton/ha
