The study of phenol recovery with membrane technology using polieugenol as a carrier has been investigated by the method of polyvinylchloride (PVC) based Polymer Inclusion Membrane (PIM). PIM were prepared by mixing polyeugenol as a carrier, PVC as a membrane matrix, and dibenzylether (DBE) as a plasticizer with the composition of 10 : 32 : 58 % w/w. The parameters studied were phenol pH in the source phase, pH in the stripping phase, and transport time. This study also conducted reusability test by applying PIM for a repeated experiment. The selectivity of phenol transport was studied in an artificial waste which is a mixture of phenol with a chromium (III).
