PENGARUH KEIKUTSERTAAN SUAMI DALAM KANGAROO MOTHER CARE (KMC) TERHADAP PERUBAHAN BERAT BADAN BAYI LAHIR RENDAH DI KABUPATEN CIAMIS

Background: Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is highly needed in premature infants or low birth weight (LBW) by making direct skin to skin contact between a mother and her baby. This method is very supportive to the health and safety of newborns so that the infant�s temperature can be maintained, because one of causes in low birth weight or premature death is temperature arrangement. The benefit of KMC is to improve the relationship between the infant with the mother. KMC can be done by anyone by family members because it does not require difficult equipment. Objective: To determine the effect of husband's involvement, support her husband and other factors in Kangaroo Care (KMC) to changes in children with low birth weight. Method: The design of this study was quasi-experimental design with nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group. The number of samples used was 80 respondents.
