PERILAKU MEKANIK BALOK BAMBU TERSUSUN ISIAN MORTAR DENGAN PENGHUBUNG GESER BAMBU CENDANI

The increase of housing, resulted on the enhancement of timber usage as building material. The increase of demand for timber triggers deforestation which is increasingly endangering the preservation of nature. Therefore, there is a need for another alternative material as a substitute for timber, one of them is bamboo. Bamboo has several advantages when compared to timber which has a tensile strength that almost equals to the steel and can be produced at the age of three to five years. Bamboo as a beam element commonly has a large deflection due to a low value of modulus of elasticity, E. To increase the stiffness, then the beam is to be assembled into a composed bamboo beam. The consequences are required the connection tool to withstand the slip. This study was conducted to exemine mechanical behavior of composed bamboo beam with mortar filler and bamboo Cendani as shear connector. In this study adopted seven types of bamboo beam consisted one type of single bamboo beam (BT), two types of two layer composed bamboo beam with six shear connectors (BBSD6) and eight shear connectors (BBSD8), two types of three layer composed bamboo beam with six shear connectors (BBST6) and eight shear connectors (BBST8), two types of four layer composed bamboo beam with six shear connectors (BBSE6) and eight shear connectors (BBSE8). Each type was consist of three test specimens. The model test was performed by a four point loading system. The results showed an increase in load from BT to BBSD6 of 137%, BT to BBST6 of 204% and BT to BBSE6 of 313%. For BT to BBSD8 of 157%, BT to BBST8 of 210% and BT to BBSE8 of 327%. In the elastic condition, the moment of inertia bamboo beam of the experiment decrease from the theoritical calculation. The average reduction ratio for bamboo beam with 6 PG from two layer composed bamboo beam to four layer composed bamboo beam in a row by 0,569, 0,405 and 0,234. While for composed bamboo beam with 8 PG average decrease in the ratio from two layer composed bamboo beam to four layer composed bamboo beam in a row by 0,705, 0,549 and 0,298
