This thesis aims to analyze the influence of means of payment using the card on the demand for money, especially currency in Indonesia and Malaysia in the long term and short term. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of time series data (time series) monthly from 2008:01 until 2010:12. The variable used is real demand for currency as the dependent variable, whereas real PDB, interest rates, interest parity condition, and means of payment transactions using the card as independent variables.
