ANALISIS PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN PILIHAN TUJUAN USAHA DAN EKONOMI RUMAH TANGGA TANI TERNAK BABI DI KABUPATEN MINAHASA

This study aims to analyze the decision-making: (1) goals and alternative management of pigs farming,(2) factors influencing the use of household labor on of pigs farming, on the farm outside of pigs and outside the agriculture, (3) factors influencing the production of pigs farming,(4) factors influencing the income of pig farming,(5) factors influencing household expenditure for food and non-food consumption, (6) the impact of changing input-output price of pigs farming and food prices on the use of household labor, on the income of pig farming, and household expenditure. Research was conducted in Kawangkoan and Sonder Subdistrict, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province the basis of pigs farming, during March-July 2010.Randomsampling method was used with total of 100 sampleshouseholds of pigs farming with criteria: (i) has less than four breeder pigs, (ii) ever sold the pigs and the pigs farming was run more than one year, and (iii) farmers do not have a job as a Civil Servant.Analysis of data using models Analitycal Hierarchy Proces (AHP), and Two Stage Least Square (2SLS). The results showed: (1) households decide the priority of business objectives in pigs farming are income, health and the environment. The priority of alternative management in pigs farming are row of feed prices, availability and kinds of food, sanitation, temperature regulation cage, market information and output prices. (2) wage factors of each business type can increase the amount of labor utilization husband and wife in the business, but wages from off-farm enterprises is not necessarily affect the decision to work. Wife of more use of work time on business pigs, while the husband on the farm outside of hog and cattle business outside of agriculture. (3) the number of parent ownership of two tails/household and live weight performance of fattening pigs is 97 kg with the factors that can increase the amount of pig production is the amount of corn, bran and breeding experience. The cost of pig production and lactation period the mother is pregnant Rp1.976.252/stem/periods, while the period of pig fattening cattle Rp1.246.348/stem/period, the proportion of the cost of feed and drugs on the orientation of breeding and fattening are greater than 80% to total business costs pigs. The large proportion of the cost of feed and medicine caused by the use of feed materials manufacturer by breeders, so the slightest increase in input prices could increase production costs and lower revenues pigs. (4) household non-food expenditure is greater than food expenditure.Factors that can increase food and non-food expenditure of households is the number of family members, the number of school children and household incomes.
