PERILAKU LENTUR PADA ARAH TEGAK LURUS BIDANG DINDING BATA BETON (BATATON) DENGAN PERKUATAN WIREMESH DAN APLIKASINYA UNTUK RUMAH SEDERHANA

The use of concrete bricks increases because this material has been through the process of research and testing to ensure its quality assurance. However, concrete bricks wall have not been tested on the field for a particular earthquake area. For this reason, it is necessary to test the strength of concrete brick walls, either with or without wiremesh strengthening. The objectives of this research included identifying the flexural strength and ductility of concrete brick walls with wiremesh strengthening compared to walls without strengthening. The results were then applied to type 36 simple houses on earthquake based on SNI 03-1726-2002 to identify in which earthquake zone the concrete brick walls can be applied. In this research, 4 types of specimens were made: concrete brick wall without strengthening (TP), concrete brick wall with wiremesh �4-50 strengthening (DBW-1), �4�75 strengthening (DBW-2) and �4-100 strengthening (DBW-3), each was made in 3 specimens. In the outer layer outer, plaster was given in 1Pc : 6Ps ratio and 20 mm thickness. The concrete brick wall dimension was (1790 x 590 x 140) mm. The testing results were processed in order to obtain flexural strength and moment capacity resisted by the wall. Forces occurred in the wall due to the load were analyzed using SAP2000 program, with variations of distance between wiremesh and earthquake area. Results of this research showed that maximum moment capacity by wall without strengthening (TP) was 3.16 KNm/m. Average moment capacity increased in five to seven times larger than specimens with wiremesh strengthening (DBW1, DBW2 and DBW3). Maximum moment based on SAP2000 analysis occurred in simple houses using concrete brick wall without strengthening (TP) was applicable for earthquake zone 4 with medium soil type. As for wiremesh �4-50, �4�75 and �4-100 strengthening, it was applicable for earthquake zone 6 with soft soil type
