ESTETIKA PASCAMODERNISME SEBAGAI ALEGORI POLITIK ORDE BARU: KAJIAN SEMIOTIKA PASCASTRUKTURAL TERHADAP NOVEL BOMA KARYA YANUSA NUGROHO

The background of the study was the phenomena of puppet shadow play reinterpretation in Indonesian literature that diverged from the source book for Javanese puppet shadow play (pakem), not only to rework and to transform the existing standard puppet shadow mythology but also to serve as political allegory of the relationship of the power of the ruling regime, which was New Order. The phenomena were indicative of the emergence of postmodernism with its typical characteristics in Indonesian literature, which was also profound in novel Boma by Yanusa Nugroho, with carrying postmodernism esthetics in back of eclectic style and postmodern esthetical idioms.
