Background: Breast milk is the most important food to support optimal growth and development in children. But, nationally the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is still low at 32% and very far from the national target set by the Ministry of Health by 80%. Delivery in hospital can reduce the level of breastfeeding since babies are often separated from their mothers and formula milk becomes more readily available.
