Efforts to find a cure for cancer has been done since long but the work done by researchers have not found a satisfactory drug for cancer therapy. Besides it appeared complications, side effects of cancer and cancer drug resistance.. Therefore we need a natural remedy that comes from nature that can help drug treatment of cancer (as adjuvant), one of them from the class of carbohydrates. Fruits that contain carbohydrates include Tomato Fruit. Thus this thesis aims to reveal data about the ability of Tomato Fruit carbohydrate fraction induces macrophage cells in secreting compounds that can inhibit cell growth HeLa. The tomatoes fruit obtained from Ngemplak and choose made the carbohydrate fraction, fraction A is a carbohydrate that deposited 96% ethanol, and fraction B are the fraction A which was dissolved in warm water containing 10% chloroform: n-butanol, 4: 1 and finally deposited by 96% ethanol. This fraction was tested by considering the time variation of induction of macrophage cells with the abundance 5 � 105 cells/mL, the results of this induction supernatant were tested with a variety of cultures and the abundance of time HeLa cells, and the analysis using one-way analysis of variance with 80% confidence level. From this study, a stronger form of the B fraction of HeLa cells reduced the A fraction. Induction of 72 hours is more able to reducing growth of HeLa cells at 24 hours . The time culture with HeLa cells 72 h more able to reduce the growth of HeLa cells at 48 hours. HeLa cell number 1 x 104 cells/mL is more easily handled than at 2 x 10 4 cells/mL. This occurs because the ability of induction of tomato fruit carbohydrate fraction of macrophage cells is limited, in addition to the ability of macrophage secretion of compounds from cells is also limited in vitro system (there is limited space and materials) due to possible return of macrophage inhibitory itself. The results showed B carbohydrate fraction of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) cells can induce macrophages to reduce the growth of HeLa cells in vitro while the A fraction could not induce macrophage cells to reduce the growth of HeLa cells with the number of 2X104cells/mL, 24-hour long induction, and cultured for 72 hours but on other conditions could reduce
