Introduction. Cognitive decline as neuropsychiatric complications most often occur in people with HIV infection. Nutritional status is an important predictor of AIDS progression and survival in patients with HIV. Body mass index (BMI) is an important measure of nutritional status in patients with HIV infection. The aim of this research is to assess the proportion of cognitive decline among patients with HIV and to compare the occurrence of cognitive decline between low BMI and normal range BMI in patients with HIV.
