Biomass briquette is one of the alternative energy. Cocoa shell and rice husk are the potential ingredients to be produced as bio-briquette. The objective of this research is to determine the composition between cocoa shell and rice husk with certain particle size to the bio-briquette characteristic. Cocoa shell and rice husk as the ingredients should be pyrolized to be charcoal. The charcoal is shredded and screened by the 25, 35 and 50 mesh. The soft charcoal is mixed with 10% starch adhesive to become briquette. The variations of composition between cocoa shell and rice husk for every particle size are: 100%:0%, 75%:25%, 50%:50%, 25%:75% and 0%:100%. The briquette is dried and analyzed for the content.
