Background: In 2007 Oncology Ginecology Indonesia Society found that from all of ginecology cancer 32% are ovarian carcinoma. About 91% of ovarian carcinoma are of epithelial cell and most of them came on late stadium, stadium III – IV (75%). Apoptosis is a program of cell death, if unrepaired DNA not eliminate, than it will distrubing the cell growth. In this proses p53, a tumor supressor gene and bcl-2, an apoptosis gene involved. If there is unstable of these protein than apoptosis will occur and can cause an abnormal cell growth. Objective: to know the correlation between stadium of ovarian carcinoma Study design: Cross sectional method Material and method: This study was performed at oncology departement Sardjito Hospital,Yogyakarta.
