FOREST FIRE SUSCEPTIBILITY MAP AT GUNUNG MERBABU NATIONAL PARK IN THE FRAMEWORK OF AN EARLY WARNING SYSTEM

Forest Fire Susceptibility Map analysis is conducted to determine of factors ensured the region has the potential of forest fires in the area Gunung Merbabu National Park. Gunung Merbabu National Park has experienced a fire for six times in the 2006-2008 period, the total area burned 475.9 ha. Study is come in research fieldwork, matching potential damaged area to calculate the real condition. Calculation is an accurate map of forest fire Susceptibility to establish frame work an early warning system. This research tried to develop a method to Susceptibility Map in the Framework of an Early Warning System, choose the most effective prediction using RS/GIS tools in a Forest fire-prone area, case study at Gunung Merbabu National Park. Tree components analysis for the determination of areas that have the potential for forest fires: Analyzing Weather (Temperature, Humidity, Rainfall, Wind Speed and Wind Direction), Analyzing Topography, Analyzing Land Cover. ArcGIS software incorporates an advanced connectivity model to accurately characterize real-world multimodal networks. Calculation to weighting used Qualitative method, process was prediction area have potential forest fire: High, Moderate and Low. Results is Susceptibility Map in the frame work of an Early Warning System aims to provide a warning so that the recipient can immediately alert information and act according to the conditions, circumstances, and time.
