EVALUASI KEBUTUHAN FASILITAS TERMINAL TIPE A ASAL TUJUAN DAN TIPE A TRANSIT (Studi Kasus Terminal Tirtonadi dan Terminal Kota Klaten)

The development of regional autonomy is currently providing power to Local Government to prepare and build the terminal in accordance with the desired location, but with no mature plans often result in congestion and chaos. In various regions in the era of regional autonomy are now much more impressed as a waste of where the area frequently used type A standard reference in building the terminal, although in reality the terminal which was built only type B or type C. The goal of this research is to develop the need for Type A passenger terminal facilities in accordance with the number of passengers and volume/characteristics of the vehicle that will be accommodated in it, so hopefully the terminal type A which can be built in accordance with existing conditions. To achieve the goal of writing the research, it was done by taking the example for Type A Transit Terminal is the Terminal of Klaten City and for the Origin-Destination is Terminal Tirtonadi. Methods of data collection conducted by using some surveys, such as the passenger survey, traffic survey and the interview survey. Traffic survey was conducted to determine the amount, type of vehicle, and type of services that use these terminals, passenger surveys was conducted to determine the number of passengers using the terminal facilities, while the interview survey was conducted to obtain secondary data and the level of passenger demand on the existing terminal facilities. The results of this study found that for Type A Origin-Destination Terminal (Terminal Tirtonadi) requires an area of 96,166 m2 (9.62 ha) with details of the main facilities of 31,519 m2 terminal, the supporting facilities terminal of 34,741 m2, 13,738 m2 of green space, and reserve development amounted to 48,083 m2, while for Type A Transit Terminal (Terminal of Klaten City) requires an area of 7558 m2 (0.75 ha) with details of the main terminal facility of 2,066 m2, the supporting facilities terminal of 613 m2, 1,080 m2 of green space, and reserve development amounted to 3,799 m2
