ABSTRACT In the last decade there were degradation on the width and productivity of natural forests as the impact of rural expanding, timber exploitation and forest conversion, On the other hand that, the critical and marginal areas were increase because of timber exploitation and nature phenomenon such as forest fires. The 100 Ha seed sources of indigenous priority species � Cempaka sp) and Nyatoh (Palaquium gutta) � were established in Camp of Pangi, Bolangmongondow District - North Sulawesi. The objective of the study was to provide the quality seed in sufficient quantity for the research and operational scale, for the activities of reforestation, land rehabilitation and social forestry. The goal was the continuity of quality seed supply of the indigenous priority species in North Sulawesi. The establishment was done by combining the tree improvement concepts and intensive silviculture treatments. In the future it is hoped that the established seed sources can be used not only for producing seeds, but also for the ex situ conservation providing the sources of genetic materials for breeding and biotechnology activities. in this paper the step of establishment was explained.
