ABSTRACT This research aims to give some description about "The Fishery in Bagan Siapi-Api between 1871 and 1942. The sentral points explains fishery development structure and economic condition in depression period. This work uses historical research method, namely heuristic (collecting document resources), critic (ekstemai and internal), interpretation (analyses) and historiography. The writer takes some document resources from documentary and field research in some libraries. Social economy approach is used to explain about the change relationship in production contexs. The results of research show that before Chinese and Dutch economic expansion came to Bagan, a great number of fish production was more consummed by fisherman than traded...
