ABSTRACT This study aims at understanding the Manado Islamic Youths in using Islamic values or meaningful symbol containing in the birth event (maulud) and migrating event (hijrah) of the prophet Muhammad SAW. This study uses Ralph Linton's theoretical framework which concerns about the revival of nativitic social and religious life by which it is regarded to have more values than that of from the better life in the future. In line with this, the research is further conducted to study why the value or the meaning of the birth and the hijrah event is implemented as a ritual ceremony. The methods of collecting the data are an observation, a participant-observation, and a dept-interview. The research shows that the tap tu-hijrah ritual is a means which can unite any vision dealing with Islamic goal based on universal Islamic morales and values. In the created togetherness spiri
