Kajian perilaku angker plat baja sebagai pengganti kait pada ujung tulangan balok beton-non-pasir

Kardiyono ABSTRACT Low cost housing is expected by most people in most cities, especially for low income people. Such houses will become into reality if they are made of local materials and easy to do by local workmanships. The effort for obtaining the low cost building has been done as the research in no-fines concrete. This concrete is light in weight and with burned clay as the artificial aggregate which can be obtained and be produced by local workmanships. The other effort to know the behaviour of reinforced no-fines concrete beam has been demonstrated succesfully, though a difficulty is still found in anchoring the reinforcing steel at the end of the beam. In this research three types of steel plate (three specimens of each type), used as the mechanical anchorage in the no-fines concrete were tested. These steel plates were 4.7 mm thick and 35 mm x 35 mm (type A), 40 x 40 mm (type B), and 50 x 50 mm (type C) area. These plates were welded with a nut in the outer side to increas the stiffness. The result shows that the anchor strength is not limited by compresive strength of the concrete in the front side of the steel plate but is the splitting strength of the concrete. Stiffness of the steel plate is the main factor that influences the penetration of the anchor to the concrete. Type A and B anchor can be used for anchoring up to 10 mm diameter of reinforcing steel, but type C anchor can be used for anchoring 8 mm diameter only
