ABSTRAK One of the common problems in transferring audio's data via Internet is the availability of sufficient bandwidth, especially in Indonesia. The network's infrastructure still uses conventional technology with limitted bandwidth. Therefore to transfer audio data through the Internet, the data should be compressed first. This research was intended to develop a software that can compress audio data before they was sent through the network and decompressed at the end of transmission, based on wavelet algorithm.
