Analisis usaha penggemukan ternak babi pada usaha peternakan di Karang Anyar Jawa Tengah=Analysis of Pig Fattening on Husbandry in Karanganyar

The experiment was aimed to analyse pig fattening at Adhi Farm, Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah based on production and cost. The production was calculated based on average daily gain (ADG) which also gave picture on the pig growth. Sixty pigs were used in this experiment. They were devided into five growth levels. Each growth level had three pens, each pen consisted of four pigs. The data collected were feed consumption, feed cost, feed composition, feed supplement, labor, ADG and production cost. The results of experiment showed that pig growth at Adhi Farm still increased at the finishing step. Average duration of pig fattening was 162.55 days or 5.4 months. The ADG was influenced by production factors which were analyzed by using Cobb-Douglass production function. The results also showed that feed, working hour, sex and breed affected significantly (
