Analisis Perbedaan Komitmen Organisasional Pada Berbagai Tahap Akhir. Analysis of the Differences of the Organizational Commitment Levels at Career Stages.

ABSTRACTThis research empirically examines the differences of the organizational commitment levels among employees at different career stages indicated by age, job tenure, and positional tenure. The research was conducted with 'a sample of non-educative employees working at some private colleges in Semarang. There were 90 questionnaires distributed to 90 respondents, but only 82 questionnaires were returned (response rate = 92%).The data were collected by using three kinds of commitments consisting of 8 items each, namely affective, continuance, and normative commitments. All standards used in this study were perceptive.The relationships between the independent variables, namely age, job tenure, and positional tenure, and the dependant variables, namely affective, continuance and normative commitments� were examined by using correlation analysis. ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) was used to examine the differences of the organizational commitment levels among employees at different career stages indicated by age, job tenure, and positional tenure. The result of the correlation analysis showed that there were no significant relationships between age, job tenure and positional tenure, and the organizational commitment. The result of the ANOVA analysis showed that there were no significant differences of affective, continuance and normative commitments caused by the differences of age, job tenure, and posititional tenure.
