The thesis research aims to expose the problem concerning with the ceramic artwork continuity and change in Bayat. The ceramic artwork continuity in Bayat is marked with the continuity of cultural activity from the past to the present. The cultural activities and products resulted show that the change so that differ between in the past and present time. The ceramic artwork continuity of Bayat is supported by the existing attitudes and value around the local people changing in line with the whole people's change. The activity of ceramic artwork in Bayat creativity has got change, which is in the beginning it can just fulfil their kitchen tools, however, that next creation has invited other goods for fulfilling the whole peopole both for the interior or exterior elements. The creation concept change is influenced by both iternal and external factors. The internal factor is the Bayat artwokrers creativity powers for creating ceramic goods as gerabah which are their heritage from the ancestors. Their capabilities, creativity, and opennerss are their main capital for accepting any changes in the external factors. The external factors include the government, private, colleges and tourism sectors. The presence of these factors imply tot the artworkers status, with their knc ivledge and insight supply, and thinking framework, so it trigger the appearance of ceramic art goods or , decorating ceramic in many kinds of designs. The appearance of decoration ceramic goods began since 1980s and continued to the present. In the further development, the external factors have dominant role. In 1980-an was the beginning of the arousal in Bayat ceramic artwork, besides many product appearance accompanined with some new artworkes working carefully in this ceramic field as their profession. Thus during 1990s, there were decorating ceramic goods with the integrated structural design with the ornamental application, so they were attracting both both artistically and aesthetically.
