History and Collective Memory

Diplomová práce pojednává o různých teoriích kolektivní paměti na poli filozofie, sociologie, historie a antropologie. Tyto teorie jsou konfrontovány s kolektivní pamětí na osobnost Eduarda Čecha. Práce je obohacena o vlastní rozhovory s pamětníky a o vlastní překlad jedné kapitoly knihy Paula Ricoeura La mémoire, l'histoire, l'oubli (Memory, history, forgetting).ObhájenoThe dissertation discusses the various theories of collective memory in the field of philosophy, sociology, history and anthropology. Next, these theories are confronted with the collective memory of the personality of Eduard Čech. The thesis is enriched by my own interviews with witnesses and by my own translation of one chapter in a book by Paul Ricoeur that names La mémoire, l'histoire, l'oubli (Memory, History, Forgetting)
