The position of a community foundation in the local development

The local development is the area of research of many scientists, theorist or practitioners. Whatever, the question of community foundations is relatively neglected. Community foundations have a huge potential of provision of local economic development. The objective of submitted paper is to present their ability to initiate, manage and perform some development activities, also as their ability to serve as the connection between interests of public authorities, municipality, citizens, other nongovernmental organizations and private companies.
