Efektivitas Guided Discovery Learning Ditinjau dari Kemampuan Representasi Matematis dan Self Efficacy

This research aimed to know theeffectiveness of guided discovery learning model in terms of studentsmathematical representation skills andself efficacy. The population of this research was students of grade VIII in SMP Negeri 8 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2016/2017 that were distributed into 11 classes. The samples of this research was students of VIII I and VIII J classes which were chosen by purposive and random sampling technique. The design was pretest-posttest control group design.Analysis data of the research using t-test for mathematical representation skills and t-test forself efficacy. Research data were obtained through mathematical representation skills and self efficacy scale. Based on the result of the research, it was concluded that guided discovery learning model was not effective in terms of student's mathematical representation skills and self efficacy. But, the increase of students mathematical representation skills and self efficacy which followedguided discovery learning was better than conventional learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas modelguided discovery learningditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis danself efficacysiswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam 11 kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa pada kelas VIII I dan VIII J yang diambil dengan teknikpurposivedan teknikrandom sampling.Desain yang digunakan adalahpretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa modelguided discovery learningtidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis danself efficacysiswa.
