This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model of NHT type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The population is all students of eightth grade of Junior High School State 8 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012-2013, they are from regular class and divided into nine classes. Samples are all students of VIII-B and VIII-C that are determined by purposive sampling technique. Based on analysis of data, it is gotten that student’s mathematical conceptual understanding on cooperative learning model of NHT better than student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of conventional learning.
