EFEKTIVITAS PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS DAN SELF CONCEPT

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of problem based learning model to improve students mathematical creative thinking skill and self concept. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th of SMPN 19 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2014/2015 that was distributed into 15 classes. The sample of this research was determined by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was one group pretest posttest. Based on the analysis of data, it was concluded that problem based learning model was effective to improve students mathematical creative thinking skill, but not effective to improve self concept.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model problem based learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan self concept siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 19 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam lima belas kelas. Sampel penelitian ini ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest posttest. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis tetapi tidak efektif untuk meningkatkanself concept siswa.Kata kunci: berpikir kreatif matematis, problem based learning, self concep
