EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN SOCRATES KONTEKSTUAL DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of socrates contextual learning in developing students mathematical critical thinking ability. The design of this research was one-group pretest-posttest. The population of this research was all students of grade seven of SMPN 19 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2014/2015. The sample of this reseacrh was students of VIIB class that was chosen by purposive sampling technique. The data of this research were obtained by test of mathematical critical thinking ability. The analysis data of this research used pair sample t-test and proportion test. Based on the results and discussion, it was concluded that socrates contextual learning was not effective in developing students mathematical critical thinking ability.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran socrates kontekstual dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 19 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIB yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji t observasi berpasangan dan uji proporsi. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran socrates kontekstual tidak efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, berpikir kritis matematis, socrates kontekstua
