This quasi experimental research aimed to investigate the increasing of students’ mathematical communication skill by the implementation of cooperative learning model of TSTS type. The design of this research was the pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 8 of SMP Negeri 21 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 as many as 192 students which was distributed into 8 classes. This research samples were students of VIIIF and VIIIG class who were taken by purposive sampling technique.
