PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS DAN BELIEF SISWA

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of problem based learning model towards students mathematical communication skill and belief. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th in Junior High School 12 Bandar Lampung that were distributed into 12 classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII-G and VIII-I class which were chosen by purposive random sampling technique. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. The data of this research were obtained by test of mathematical communication skill and questionnaire of belief. Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that the implementation of problem based learning affects the students mathematical communication skill but it couldnt affects the students belief.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan belief siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung yang terdistribusi dalam 12 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-G dan VIII-I yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket belief. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa namun tidak berpengaruh pada belief siswa.Kata kunci: belief, komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran berbasis masala
