Nursing scientific status : paradigm, method and nature of its study subject

El presente documento trata de definir cuál es la situación actual del estatus científico de la enfermería, así como definir los principales problemas que impiden su situación de consolidación en el contexto general de la ciencia. Hacemos un recorrido por la significación y estado de los términos de paradigma, matriz disciplinaria, teoría, modelo, método científico y proceso de enfermería, así como su adecuación a las características de la ciencia y a la naturaleza del objeto de estudio enfermero.The aim of the present document is to define the current situation of nursing scientific status, as well as to identify the main problems that are preventing it from consolidating in the general sciencie context. We go through the meaning and state of the terms paradigm, disciplinary body, theory, model, scientific method and nursing process, as well as their adequacy to the characteristics of science and to the nature of the nursing study subject
