Empresarios españoles en la región Puebla-Tlaxcala a finales del siglo XIX

This article analyzes the trajectory of a group of Spanish emigrants who, arriving in Mexico in the second half of the 19th century, contributed to the economic development of the host country. Despite the many difficulties they encountered upon their arrival, they were able to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Mexican Government and many of them achieved a remarkable position in the economic, political and social environment; some of them returned to their place of origin when they had already generated in the country a substantial fortune and had achieved good social position.Este articulo analiza la trayectoria de un grupo de inmigrantes españoles que, llegando a México en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, contribuyó al desarrollo económico del país de llegada. Salvando muchas dificultades que encontraron a su llegada, supieron aprovechar las oportunidades que ofrecía el gobierno mexicano y muchos de ellos lograron una posición muy destacable en el ámbito económico, político y social; algunos de ellos retornaron a su lugar de origen cuando ya habían generado en el país una cuantiosa fortuna y habían logrado una posición social bastante sólida.
