Orient basin: geological, petroliferous knowledge and applied geophysics (gravimetry)

This present work is focused on the Oriente Basin, an andine basin that is included on the foreland basin systems Putumayo-Oriente-Marañon that covers an area of about 320.000 Km². Firstly, is developed a detailed exposure of information related exposure of information related to the geological context of this basin, including of the petroliferous point of view. Then, an introduction to the base theory of the geophysical method of Gravimetry is done. The introduction to the Gravimetry theory intends to provide resources to the reader for a compreension of the last issue of this work: a direct aplication of this geophysical method on the Marañon Basin and that is focused to the oil industry business.Este presente trabalho tem como foco a Bacia do Oriente, uma bacia andina que está incluída no sistema de bacias foreland Putumayo-Oriente-Marañon que cobre uma área próxima de 320.000 Km². Primeiramente, é desenvolvida uma exposição detalhada de informações relacionadas ao contexto geológico desta bacia, inclusive do ponto de vista petrolífero. Em seguida, é feita uma introdução à teoria básica do método geofísico de Gravimetria. A introdução à teoria de Gravimetria visa fornecer bases ao leitor para a compreensão da última abordagem deste trabalho: uma aplicação prática deste método geofísico na Bacia Marañon, aplicação esta que é voltada para o ramo da indústria do petróleo
