Static, two-dimensional analysis of earth dams is conducted by the Finite Element Method, using isoparametric elements. A study of the method and element used is made and a computer program is developed. Comments on linear and non linear simulations of an earth dam construction are made; some examples are shown. The effect of reservoir filling on a model is simulated with the computer program. A study of the influence of the elastic parameter's is made.
