In the current context of the incorporation of information and communication technologies (ICT) to educational processes, distance education programs have proven to be an alternative to meet the improvement of the teacher. In this sense, this paper aimed to examine some of the challenges of the distance continuing education of teachers, specifically the difficulties of the participants in the Programa Nacional de Formação Continuada a Distância nas Ações do FNDE – Formação pela Escola, in the town of São Pedro da Aldeia, which led to evasion.
