Strategic Role of Transport in Kazakhstan

This paper reviews the country’s transportation sector, assessing its conditions and performance and attempting to identify key issues and their underlying causes. It mainly touches on the original development of transportation, overall current structure of transportation, legal and regulatory issues, public transportation, and traffic within Kazakhstan. The paper then, less extensively, expands into the physical aspects of transportation, touching on the mapping and construction of road networks within the country.Diplomová práce se zabývá provedením analýzy dopravního odvětví v Republice Kazachstán, zkoumá jeho výkonnost, problémy a jejich příčiny. Práce zkoumá především vývoj dopravy, současný stav, včetně institucionálních opatření, právních a regulačních předpisů. Cílem této práce je navrhnout opatření vedoucí ke zlepšení aktuálního stavu dopravního sektoru a naplnění jeho potenciálu
