Online propaganda: Brexit referendum

The thesis deals with the current issue of the nowadays technological society, namely propaganda in the online environment. The theoretical part is based on authors publishing since the beginning of the 20th century. These authors were used to develop my own definition of propaganda, which was then applied to the analysis of Twitter posts published by selected campaigners in Brexit referendum. The main aim of the thesis was to find out whether the communication of selected actors towards British voters met the signs of propaganda. The analysis then discovered, that some campaigners were using propaganda during the Brexit referendum campaign.Práce se zabývá aktuálním problémem současné technologické společnosti, a to propagandou v online prostředí. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit, zdali komunikace vybraných aktérů kampaně směrem k britským voličům splňovala znaky propagandy. Teoretická část vychází z autorů publikujících od začátku 20. století, na jejichž základě následně autor této práce vypracoval vlastní teoretické východisko, se kterým je dále pracováno v analytické části. Teorie je pak aplikována při analýze příspěvků na sociální síti Twitter, publikovaných jednotlivými aktéry kampaně před referendem o Brexitu.
