Possibilities of public passenger transport in relation Prague - Brno

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the possibility of personal transport between Prague and Brno, the two largest Czech cities. We can find two parts in the thesis, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains the explanation of basic terms related to transport. There is also the description of the air travel, railway, road and water transport. The greatest emphasis belongs to railway transport, specifically to its packages and the planned high-speed railway lines. The second, practical part is devoted to all options of transport on the route between Prague and Brno. Individual companies, which allow transport are being analysed in this part of a thesis. There is the subsequent comparison and evaluation of most optimal options of transport for the passengers are being discussed too. We will also look into the future when high-speed lines will compete with current carriers. The goal of this thesis is to analyse the possibilities of personal transport on the route between Prague and Brno and to outline the possible future development of transport in this relation.Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou možností osobní přepravy mezi dvěma největšími českými městy, Prahou a Brnem. V práci najdeme jak teoretickou, tak praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje základní pojmy týkající se dopravy, je zde blíže popsána letecká, železniční, silniční a vodní doprava s větším zaměřením na dopravu železniční, a to konkrétně na železniční balíčky a plánované vysokorychlostní železniční tratě. Druhá, praktická část je již zaměřena na všechny možnosti přepravy v relaci Praha – Brno. Rozebrány jsou jednotlivé společnosti, které přepravu umožňují. Vybrány budou určité spoje na této trase a následně zde najdeme srovnání a zhodnocení, která možnost je pro cestující nejvýhodnější. Podíváme se také do budoucna, kdy budou současným dopravcům konkurovat vysokorychlostní tratě. Cílem diplomové práce je tedy zanalyzovat možnosti osobní přepravy na trase mezi Prahou a Brnem a nastínit možný budoucí vývoj přepravy v této relaci
