Accounting of associations

The subject of diploma thesis is a complex process of accounting and taxation of the association. The thesis deals with the terms which is important for understanding the issue of non-governmental non-profit organizations, then explains the concept of association and description of its organizational structure including documents important for the functioning of the association. In the next part, attention is paid to the tax side of associations, differences in taxation of these organization from companies founded for profit and specific cases that can occur only in the given type of non-profit organizations. The accounting view includes statutory norms that defines the association’s legal framework, as well as the accounting options for individual cases that are typical of non-profit organizations. Due to the different chart of accounts compared to companies, attention is also paid to its analysis in the most different parts. The practical part focuses on the accounting of a fictitious association which deals with the real situation during preparation of the financial statements.Předmětem diplomové práce je komplexní proces účtování a zdanění spolku. Práce se zabývá pojmy důležitými pro pochopení problematiky nestátních neziskových organizací, dále pak vysvětlením pojmu spolek a popisem jeho organizační struktury včetně dokumentů důležitých pro fungování spolku. V další části je pozornost zaměřena na daňovou stránku spolků, odlišnosti zdanění těchto organizací od společností založených za účelem dosažení zisku. Dále se práce orientuje na specifické případy, které mohou nastat jen u daného typu neziskových organizací. Účetní pohled zahrnuje zejména zákonné normy, které vymezují spolku právní rámec, dále pak možnosti účtování jednotlivých případů, které jsou typické pro neziskové organizace. Vzhledem k odlišné účtové osnově oproti obchodním společnostem je pozornost věnována také jejímu rozboru v nejvíce odlišných částech. Praktická část se zaměřuje na účtování fiktivního spolku, který řeší reálné situace při sestavení účetní závěrky
