Didactic Aspects of Selected Issues of the Czech Accounting Legislation and the IAS/IFRS in the Secondary Education

The Diploma Thesis with the topic “Didactic Aspects of Selected Issues of the Czech Accounting Legislation and the IAS/IFRS in the Secondary Education” deals with the question whether and how to include the IAS/IFRS issue in the curriculum system of the accounting course at business academies. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, the readers are introduced to the regulation of accounting in the Czech Republic and to the international harmonisation regulated by the IFRS. The results of the carried out research are presented in the practical part. The research was carried out in two segments. The first group of respondents consisted of the teachers of the accounting course at business academies. The second group of respondents consisted of the third and fourth year pupils of business academies. The teachers received a short questionnaire that investigated the current instruction of the IAS/IFRS and the possibility of further education regarding this topic. A didactic test was created for the pupils in order to determine the current level of knowledge in accounting. The final part of the Diploma Thesis contains a proposal of the author to include the IAS/IFRS curriculum into the accounting course at business academies. Schemes and author’s own draft examples are included.Diplomová práce na téma „Didaktické aspekty vybraných problémů z české účetní legislativy a IAS/IFRS v sekundárním vzdělávání“ se zaobírá otázkou, zda a jak zařadit problematiku IAS/IFRS do systému učiva v předmětu účetnictví na obchodních akademiích. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části se čtenáři seznámí s regulací účetnictví v České republice a mezinárodní harmonizací, která je upravena IFRS. V praktické části jsou uvedeny výsledky prováděného výzkumu. Výzkum byl prováděn ve dvou segmentech. První skupina respondentů byla tvořena učiteli předmětu účetnictví na obchodních akademiích. Druhá skupina respondentů byla tvořena žáky 3. a 4. ročníků na obchodních akademiích. Učitelé dostali krátký dotazník, který zjišťoval současnou výuku IAS/IFRS a možnost dalšího vzdělávání v tomto tématu. Žákům byl vytvořen didaktický test, který měl zjistit dosavadní úroveň znalostí účetnictví. Závěrečná část diplomové práce obsahuje mnou sestavený návrh zařazení učiva o IAS/IFRS do předmětu účetnictví na obchodních akademií. Součástí budou schémata, vlastní návrhy příkladů
